I. Introduction
This instruction sheet covers the assembly procedures for Reynolds RMC plugs and receptacles. RMC connectors are available in four basic shell styles and thirteen insert configurations ranging from one to twenty-one contacts. Shell sizes range from size ten to size forty and have voltage ratings of 5 KVDC to 45 KVDC.
II. Description
The four shell styles shown in Fig. 1 are available with inserts for either pin or socket contacts. Each plug or receptacle kit is provided partially assembled and individually bagged. A typical plug kit would consist of one plug shell, one coupling nut, one backshell, one plug insert, one retaining ring and the required quantity of pin or socket contacts. Plug assembly (shell style 1) mates with any one of the receptacles (shell styles 2, 3 & 4). |
